Today, BARC Animal Shelter and Adoptions announced the first ever Mayor?s Pets of the Week with Houston Mayor Annise Parker. Mayor Parker is championing some of the many adorable adoptables available at BARC during the ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge by snapping weekly photos with a dog and cat through the end of October. Beginning next week, BARC plans to release the Mayor?s Pets of the Week every Monday. The photos will also be posted to BARC?s Facebook Page: http://www.facebook.com/BARCHouston.
