There are many ways in FTM to see your complete tree but these have to be created in the Publish module. In that module you would find the best fit for what you want in Charts. You may find a better presentation for your purposes in one of the Relationship reports.

If you wish to see your family while entering data. In People, Person, click the Relationship tab. In the top pane you should see your parent, your siblings, your wife, and your children, or the same for the target person.
