Investors traded 1.73 million shares of Alcatel Lucent, which was up $0.10, or 9.09%. According to Marketwatch, Alcatel Lucent secured 1.62 billion euros, or $2.12 billion, in new financing from Credit Suisse (NYSE:CS) and Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS).?
Investors also traded 834,550 million shares of Bank of America, which was up $0.01, or 0.09%. According to Reuters, Bank of America has sued MBIA for allegedly interfering with a tender offer to buy MBIA's (NYSE:MBI) bonds.
